PT. Bonna Indonesia designs and manufactures different diameters of Intake Head to fit customer project specifications, site conditions & environment.
The seawater intake structure consists of a large diameter system with equal sized opening windows and connected to the intake pipeline. Seawater moves slowly at a speed lower than 0.2-0.3 meters/second: it ensures the absolute minimum of sediment, marine life and debris. Seawater goes to the onshore water reservoir/basin.
The seawater intake head is a heavy duty stable and robust structure made of steel reinforced concrete consisting of 3 main elements: a tee, a circular corbel support and a velocity cap.
Its design is based on modular construction to fit marine contractors equipment, facilitate handling and avoid underwater welding. Chlorination kit and access manhole are included and pre-assembled in factory
